Ingredients:
Meat – 1 kg
Tomatoes – 500 g
Fresh paprika – 300 g
Onion – 300 g
Carrots – 200 g
Vegetable oil - 30 ml
Butter - 50 g
Salt – 20 g
Sugar – 20 g
Dry paprika – 10 g
Allspice and bitter pepper 3 g
Instructions:
Heat butter and vegetable oil in a saucepan.
Fry the pieces of meat on all sides over high heat and reduce the heat for slow stewing.
Pour boiling water over the tomatoes in a bowl.
Chop the onion, add it into the saucepan and stir it.
Pour hot water out the bowl with tomatoes and pour cold water into it.
Cut the carrots into large pieces.
Add carrots to the saucepan and stir it.
Slice fresh paprika, add it to the saucepan and stir it.
Peel the tomatoes.
Slice the tomatoes and place them in the saucepan. Add salt.
Add sugar and pepper into the saucepan and stir it.
Simmer the goulash over low heat under the lid until the meat is ready.
Add dry paprika to the saucepan, stir it and turn the heat off.
