Lincoln Park is right around the corner from downtown Chicago. It is the perfect place to spend the day or afternoon. It offers some of the best views of the city and over 200 species of animals to check out. Best part of it all is that it's all FREE! It's one of the only 3 major free zoos left in the country.
The always host special events year round, make sure to check out the website for details. Lincoln Park zoo is also one the oldest zoos in the continent! It was founded in 1868!
Getting here: There is plenty of free and paid parking right next to the zoo. Plenty of bus lines take you right up to the zoo. No reservations are needed to attend the zoo.

Hi there! We’re Vernon and Maryana, husband and wife originally from Chicago. We have been together since 2010 and have been exploring local an international for some time now. Vernon was born and raised in Chicago. Maryana was born in Ukraine and immigrated to USA in 2002. After years of traveling we finally wanted to start a channel to share our adventures with friends and family. We hope to inspire you to get out there and have fun.
We love to travel and explore this wonderful world. There's so many hidden gems yet to be discovered. After living abroad for a few years (Italy & Thailand) we can't wait to go out and explore more. End of 2020 brought us back to Chicago. While here, we want to see as much of America as possible, before we head out to a new adventure. We love to immerse ourselves into any location that we're at.
