So on Tuesday I went on a mission to find the drop frame split body recycle truck doing post-Christmas collection here in Sunnyvale. I rounded the corner and found three trucks all piled up. To my surprise, I saw a truck I’ve been pining for at least a year and it was not the drop frame M/ASL...
Back when I first moved up to the SF Bay Area and was getting to know what trucks I would see crawling around in the area. One day I saw this crazy looking CNG Leach 2RII with a tag axel driving down the street. Naturally I freaked out, but couldn’t follow it. I haven’t seen it since, until Tuesday… So I talked to the driver who was stoked to meet me since he apparently has seen my videos. Certainly, it was the easiest way to break the ice! It also made the video more fun to get.
He was collecting Christmas trees, but unfortunately there were no trees out yet to collect. He ran the packer blade, and the tippers since he knew I probably wasn’t going to get any footage of the truck. After I was done with him I moved over to another interesting truck, a Labrie Expert 2000 Split body, that works in the area doing Multi-Family recycle.
Then my target truck drove by! The split cart collecting Expert 2000, so I split from the multi-family truck and ran after the split cart truck. Now I currently have a broken rib, and I’m particularly out of shape, so running was a bit difficult thus the reason for my shallow hard breathing in the video.
After the split cart Labrie stopped for coffee, I found 103 the Startlight FL, and an Automizer doing greens. Then I had to start migrating back to the shop for work. Then the CNG Heil FL came for our cardboard a day early. Overall, a great morning!
