Roger Gracie is a retired mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) and former professional jiu-jitsu athlete, who is widely regarded as one of the sport’s Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), a reputation conquered on the mats and solidified by his ten (10) International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) World Championship titles as a black belt – four (4) more in the colored belt divisions. One of Gracie’s trademarks was his willingness to commit to the submission, being also one of the most accurate submission specialists at the highest level of grappling of all time. Gordon Ryan is a New Jersey (USA) born grappler and member of the well-known group – Danaher Death Squad (DDS), known particularly in jiu-jitsu‘s no-gi and submission only circuit where he beat big names of the sport such as Alexandre Ribeiro, Romulo Barral, and Gabriel Arges. A submission orientated competitor and one of the leading jiu-jitsu figures of his generation, Gordon cemented his name as one of the top brown belts on the planet in 2015 by winning the Newaza Challenge and No-Gi World Championship, which led to his black belt promotion under Garry Tonon – this way becoming Tonon’s first ever student to achieve the rank, a belt responsibility shared with another one of Gordon’s coaches, John Danaher. Gordon is an ADCC champion winning ADCC 2017 in his division and getting silver in the finals of the absolute. He came back to ADCC 2019 and won double gold. He also had a win over Craig Jones at the Eddie Bravo Invitational or EBI. Gordon is regarded by many including Joe Rogan as the current No Gi GOAT
