In Geopolitical terms, Superpower means a very powerful and influential nation that has the potential to affect the world order. India recently overtook the United Kingdom to become the 5th Largest Economy in the World in terms of nominal GDP. However, the ground reality shows a different picture. I have discussed how factors such as unemployment, poverty and wealth inequality persist largely throughout the country which affects its development.
