Tadeusz Faliszewski (aka Jan Pobóg) z Orkiestrą – Kocha, lubi, szanuje...? (Love? Liking? Esteem?...) Slow-Fox (H.Wars - K.Tom, E.Schlechter) z filmu „Kocha, lubi, szanuje...” (From the movie of the same title) Melodja-Electro 1934 (Polish)
NOTE: Polish film comedy “Kocha, lubi, szanuje?” (Love? Liking? Esteem?) was a box office smash hit in 1934. It couldn’t have been otherwise with such a fabulous cast. Eugeniusz Bodo, a modest & shy drugstore trainee is madly in love with a beautiful cashier (Loda Halama), who is dreaming of a film career. However, when he helps her arrange a successful presentation, the problems begin… Whole array of prewar Polish film stars is released in the movie, including Zula Pogorzelska, Michał Znicz, Władysław Walter or Ludwik Lawiński. For a long time the film had been considered as lost, until in 2005 a poor copy of it was found in one of the film archives in France. Masterfully restored, it regained quite a good condition. The music score – including the hit “Kocha, lubi, szanuje” - was written by maestro Henryk Wars.
Title of the song is a popular Polish quote from the leaf-divination (when the flower petals are used, not the tea leaves). Therefore a photoshow presents several famous romantic couples from prewar Polish movies.
