This was filmed "live" with 500+ artists participating. Discover how to paint with flowing lines and flowing colors in this live-streamed demonstration recorded on January 20, 2022. In this paint-along I share how to simplify and paint the classic Japanese Footbridge, flowers and folliage in Monet's Garden. I spend the first few minutes talking about watercolor supplies and the power of Notan in your design - the harmony of lights and darks utilized by many of the Impressionists. I'll also talk a bit about visiting Monet's garden and home. This technique is great for your travel sketchbooks, studies and gifts from your heart. You'll see me draw the scene with a fine point permanent marker and paint with Daniel Smith Watercolors. The paper I'm using is Fabriano Cold Press 140# 25% Cotton. My brush is from TheBrushGuys.com - the Dynasty Black Gold 311 Quill size 4 to 0 - look for me on the site under teachers and add cbriggs for a discount.
