Bill Borger is a Charted Accountant and the President and CEO of Borger Group of Companies – a 96 year old family owned, 4th generation conglomerate involved in the construction and transportation sectors. The Borger Group has enjoyed tremendous growth under his leadership and now employs more than 350 people with offices in both Calgary and Edmonton. Borger is recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies and is also recognized as Canada’s Safest Employer in Building and Construction. Outside of business, Bill is known for being an adventurer with a philanthropic twist and has raised more than $600,000 for various local charities pursuant to being the only Canadian to have both swum across the English Channel and climbed Mt. Everest. Bill is responsible for having claimed a number of first ascents on both Rock and Ice.
