This is a video showing my approach a simple running stitch with
5-0 nylon. A simple running suture is one of the most common ways to close the skin.
Make sure to check out my video on deep dermal suturing. That is one of the most important points to get a great closure.
Other things to consider are tension on the wound edges, eversion of skin, and spacing of the sutures.
