No fake bags - how to tell a designer second hand piece is authentic? I am showing you today the very famous and very often sold Louis Vuitton Koala Wallet in Monogram.
Things to look out for are:
1. Weight
It should be about 180 gr
2. The Zipper downside should be smooth with no engravings
3. The stitches are neatly done with no errors
4. Brass hardware can be polished easily using an white eraser
5. Monogram LV symbols are never cut on any sides and if the wallet is turned, they are facing upside down
6. Data Code
Check if the code is imprinted and also use the list below to find out what the data code means:
1980 or earlier - no data code
1980-1990 - Three / four numbers with the first two numbers naming the year and last number(s) naming the month of manufaction. There are also some data codes with two letters, stating the location.
