This is a clip from Ep. 166 (Endometriosis) of Cole and I discussing the use of add-back therapy when putting a patient on a GnRH agonist such as leuprolide depot. Some examples of add-back therapy options are below:
1. Norethindrone 5 mg (Aygestin)
2. Oral conjugated equine estrogens 0.625 mg (Premarin) plus oral norethindrone 5 mg (Aygestin)
3. Transdermal estradiol (Vivelle-Dot) 25 μg twice weekly plus oral medroxyprogesterone acetate 5 mg/day (provera)
4. Oral estradiol 2 mg/day plus oral norethindrone acetate 1 mg/day
