So what are twists about? Why is it important? How does it help?
Twist poses add to the flexibility of the spine, create more range for movement, helps in effective digestion which is the core of any health concern, allows the flow of energy to other regions of the body helping in the effective functioning of the organ in that region.
All in all, twists are the crux of sequences.
This sequence we have added twists in all positions starting from standing poses moving to sitting, prone, and then Supine. Energy creation happens the same way. Its a combination of twists and peak pose in every position. Let us see how we have created the sequence.
The 3 parts of the sequence-
Part 1: Standing poses with peak pose being Parsva Bakasana
Part 2: Seated poses with peak pose being Boat pose and Prone Poses with peak pose being Scorpion Twist
Part 3: Supine Poses with peak pose being Parsva Halasana
