Liberian President-elect Joseph Boakai says his administration will prioritise fixing the country's economy and ensuring that service delivery is accelerated. Boakai won the recent elections and defeated incumbent President George Weah. The incoming President campaigned on a promise to rescue the West African country.
Liberia is still suffering the fallout from two civil wars between 1989 and 2003, and the 2013-2016 Ebola epidemic that killed thousands.
