In this video I show you how I throw shallow bowls in a mold. I discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using a mold on the wheel and take you through the process - from centering to de-molding and finishing. This a technique that can help create uniformity where it might be important. This is part of a series of videos where I demonstrate simple techniques to replicate items in production. Then I eat chicken rice and drink champagne from those bowls... cheers!
The YELLOW RIB featured in nearly every video has been with me for years and I use it for shaping, refining & compressing. I would never want to be without. It's hard to loose... and it just carries on. Along with my wheel - this is with me for the long haul!
