Pool noodles are light weight and easy to punch holes in with a heated nail. And they work well for trapping eggs from black soldier flies. I replaced the wooden egg traps with a new long pool noodle one and it start to work great. I find a new trap always take a while to attract the female which seem to prefer an older trap.
