Demolition excavators began to tear down the 80 units of the blighted Bayview Inn and Suites on the Black Horse Pike in Atlantic City. The motel rooms have been vacant since a 2017 drug raid and the motel was deemed unfit for occupancy by the city shortly after. The motel became infamous after authorities found illegal drugs and weapons at the motel, as well as an abandoned pet alligator in the pool.
