The Shelby G.T. 500 was the muscle car monster version of the Ford Mustang, packing a Police Interceptor-based 428 cu in V-8 under the hood. The convertible was rare, but this example is even more special, and not just because it's one of only four G.T. 500 convertibles with factory A/C. It's also Flash Gordon's car. Bought new by Buster Crabbe, the 1932 Olympic gold medalist who played Buck Rogers, Tarzan, and Gordon on the silver screen, this Candy Apple Red Shelby now resides only 40 miles from where it was first sold.
