One of the easiest ways to increase your revenue is to increase the number of customers you’re selling to. The key is to focus on customers who are the most loyal, and ensure you provide them with an exceptional buying experience.
Offer great customer service and start building relationships with your customers. Send personalized emails to thank them for their purchases, ask them their opinion and preferences, answer their inquiries efficiently and enthusiastically, and keep your customer service lines open. You should also find out what works for them on other websites and replicate it for your own website.
You can also expand your reach by taking your ecommerce business to new markets, either online or offline. Amazon has some great tools and resources that can help you reach more people and apply best practices to reach more target customers. Leverage Amazon’s product advertising capabilities to show your customers new offerings, and use Amazon’s Pay Per Click (PPC) products to increase sales-on-demand.
Now that you’ve widened your reach, the next step is to encourage more frequent purchases. One way of doing this is through promotions and discounts. Promotions act as incentives and reward customers for purchasing again. Make sure you provide promotions to your existing customers, because they’re the ones who are most likely to buy again. Once you’ve got your promotions in place, use drip campaigns and email sequences to remind customers about new products, any upcoming sales, and any other specials you’re offering.
Finally, you should focus on increasing your pricing. You want to ensure that your prices accurately reflect the value of your products. One way of doing this is to research similar products on the marketplace and determine their worth, then adjust your prices accordingly. You should also consider introducing business plans and subscription models to increase the value of individual sales.
It may take a bit of trial and error in order to get the formula right, but if you’re consistently striving to sell more products to more people more often, and for more money - you’ll soon be on your way to greatly increasing your business’s sales.
