Here's a true story from my life when I first came to British Columbia 20 years ago!!

Greetings, I'm Joey Only. Founder of Interior Weather & Wilderness Watchers on Facebook, a British Columbia based group with over 15,000 subscribers. Since I founded that group in 2014 I have been able to warn people about thunderstorms, landslides, avalanches, winter weather, wildfires and more. Running the group is a matter of pride and joy for me. In the meantime I started Joey Only - Cariboo Weather Dude on YouTube where I have been making educational videos of all kinds.

I live in the mountains in Wells BC. In the summertime I fight forest fires. Unfortunately for me things haven't gone so well this year for me. In the spring I got very sick with COVID and it took me months to recover. I bought a vehicle that blew up several weeks later and have been struggling to get around ever since. My truck currently needs a new computer and I have no money for it. Employment Insurance is debating and taking it's time to decide if it will do anything to help me. I'm $650 in overdraft, my child support is unpaid, I couldn't get to a job outside of Wells if I were to accept one right now. I'm in deep, I need help to keep being me and doing what I do for everyone!! On top of all that I have tech gear that I need to soon replace or I won't be able to do half of what I been doing for turning out content. With winter coming on here in Wells there are less and less job opportunities. At this point without help I don't know how to pay child support, get my truck on the road, feed myself/kids and survive the darkest months with a few dollars to spend on presents next month.
