The AmRad Turbo Easy-Start® Universal Hard-Start Kits can each cover up to 5 tons. The only American made universal hard-start kits in HVAC.

The TES5 has a built in potential relay, ideal for salt air conditional and is backed by a 5 year warranty.

The TES5EXT has an external potential relay, requested by contractors for easy mounting, and is backed by a 3 year warranty.

Both come with the CPT® Fuse Wire. This wire cuts the hard-start off from the AC system within 3 seconds of a relay failure, preventing damage to the compressor. Pair this with the CPT® (Compressor Protector Terminal®) on AmRads Turbo 200, Turbo 200X or USA Made Capacitors for the BEST hard-start install. The CPT® acts as a kill-switch in the event of the motor-run capacitor failing when a hard-start is attached. This prevents damage and possible failure of the AC compressor by preventing the hard-start from continuing to kick on the compressor without the motor-run capacitor regulating.
