Today's Talk: "The Magic of Music Matching" by Roy van Rijn
Roy van Rijn is a Dutch Java Champion and gave this talk at GOTO Oslo 2020. Although due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he had to give the talk from his home.
He recounts a real story of himself, from a few years ago, how he discovered music matching. The idea behind music matching is to detect a commercial song which is being played back through some speakers, for instance.
Roy got so curious about the inner workings of this that he implemented a clone by himself over the course of a weekend and explains to us how he did it.
