The screams of sirens and the thud of mortar attacks broke the
early morning silence in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo on Wednesday
(24/5). A score of heavy mortar bombs hit front-line trenches
along the ridge at Debelo Brdo, the site of intensive fighting
over two days last week.
