This is a hearty meal but so easy and quick to make. These Pakistani meatballs are tender served with this flavorful rice cooked in homemade stock. Hope you enjoy this video. 🌟Ingredients List for your convenience:
MEATBALLS:
2 tbsp chickpea flour for binding (or one egg)
1 tsp coriander seeds or powder
1 tsp ginger powder
salt to taste
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp garlic powder
fresh black pepper to taste
red chili powder to taste
1.5 lbs. of ground beef
½ of a chopped onion
FOR MASALA (GRAVY):
a couple tbsp of oil for cooking
1 medium onion chopped
6 garlic cloves chopped
1 tbsp fresh ginger paste
salt to taste
½ tsp turmeric powder
chili powder to taste
1 tsp coriander seeds or powder
1 tsp cumin powder
½ tsp fennel seeds
½ cup of crushed tomatoes
a few tbsp of water/cups to make a sauce
1 tsp. dried fenugreek
fresh coriander or cilantro chopped for masala and garnishing
¼ to ½ tsp of garam masala powder
PULAO:
1 medium onion chopped
6 tbsp of oil for cooking or as needed
1 tbsp fresh ginger paste
6 cups chicken stock (see below for ingredients)
1 tsp fennel powder
Salt to taste
3 cups of cleaned and washed basmati rice soaked for 30 mins.
FOR THE CHICKEN STOCK:
¼ lb. of chicken bones or as needed
bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon stick, star anise, and mace (as needed)
6 cups of water to make stock
Cook the bones and spices in the water till the flavors have released and the stock comes to a boil
RAITA (yogurt sauce on the side):
3 cups yogurt
½ medium chopped onions
2 garlic cloves chopped
1 medium tomato chopped
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp coriander powder
salt and black pepper to taste
