If you’re looking for an accessible, gentle breathing exercise to help you feel more calm and balanced, this short practice is perfect no matter the time of day.
In this video, we’re showing you how to do NADI SHODHANA PRANAYAMA \ ALTERNATE NOSTRIL BREATHING based on how our teacher taught us in Mysore. This breathing technique allows you to create a sense of balance in the body, by breathing through one nostril at a time. We’ll show you the ideal seated position and offer alternatives so you can find what feels good in your body. We’ll also share why we do this exercise at the end of the Ashtanga Closing Sequence and why it’s been beneficial to us (you can do it too!).
Practice alongside Jelena as David guides you through this pranayama to the drum beat metronome to help you tap into even, steady breaths.
