Very interesting and useful trick on Pythagorean Triplets. Here I am explaining viewers, A very amazing technique to find other two sides of Pythagorean Triplets when only Height (One side is known). Till now we have been learning to find only one side and two sides are known. So in this episode we will learn something very new and interesting, We will learn to find other two sides without pen and copy even only one side i.e. Height of triplets is known.
In our previous episode we have learnt to find other two sides, when given height is an odd number.
Here we will learn when value of Height is an Even number (Except: 2):
Suppose Height of the given Triplet is 6. 6 is an even number. So following steps will be followed to find the other two sides (i.e. Base and Hypotenuse):
Step I: First we will have to find square of 6 (Given Height in this example). So square of 6 is 36. Now we will dive this number by 4. Thus 36/4 =9
Step II: In Step II and III, we can easily find any of other two sides. Here we will find the value of base. To find base we have to reduce 1 after dividing resultant square of Height by 4. So, 9-1 =8. So Base value will be 8.
Step III: Now to find only left over side i.e. Hypotenuse, we will have to add 1 after dividing resultant square of Height by 4. Thus, 9+1 =10. So Hypotenuse value will be 10.
With these steps, we can very easily find in our mind itself the values of Base and Hypotenuse of a Pythagorean Triplets when only Height is known and the known value is an even number.
