This component can be used together with our complete range of light hardware for industrial DIY plumbing pipe type lighting. There are three parts to the fitting that come un-assembled. There is a lamp holder mount top component in cast polished brass. This component is threaded both inside and outside. The inside thread accepts the threaded glass containment piece and the outside thread accepts the solid cast brass cage. A hole at the top of the mount is 40mm in diameter and it is made specifically to secure using our brass shade ring.

Also available are shade ring attached brass or steel shades that can be fixed by including in the assembly between pipe fitting and globe cage top.

To include this component in a light fitting design can take a little bit of planning but we have a suggested method that requires a 1 1/4″ to 1/2″ plumbing pipe coupler. These are readily available and seen in the assembly diagram they allow the whole component including lamp holder to be bolted securely to pipe fittings. We use a 75mm long M10 brass all thread to secure the 10mm threaded entry lamp holder up to a BSTP half inch pipe hex nipple.

The E27 brass lamp holders we supply for use with plumbing pipe are made in solid brass as heavy duty so they are appropriate for hard fixing to pipe. Also we include an earth tab so that your entire fitting can include an earth wire to the ceiling connection.

These light fittings are suited to most regular globe size but recommended ST64 shaped globes are listed below.
