Actor Timothy Spall, who plays the eponymous painter, and director Mike Leigh, discuss Mr. Turner (2014), their new biopic about J.M.W. Turner. Leigh explains how he evoked the 19th century setting and talks about his regular collaborations with Spall. These interviews took place at a BFI reception for British films in the Festival de Cannes, where Timothy Spall went on to win the Best Actor prize.
