The medical system is a scam. I wish society knew this. The perception of the world is you’re a doctor , you rich. People “big money” me all the time and it’s the most frustrating thing in the world. Even when I explain it , they still don’t get it. Residents get very very low wages. Imagine working two full time jobs, and only getting paid for one. Would you still do it? Doctor’s def don’t do this job for the money. If I work 90 hrs vs 36 hours in a week I’m getting the same money every two weeks. If I call out I have to make it up, so is that a sick day? I’m just venting because I don’t feel the system will change in my lifetime. Attending life gets better , yes. But do you see how many brutal years we have to endure ?!? Okay my rant is done. Tag someone in medicine.

Hey there! I’m Dr. Caurice Wynter, Dr. Coco or the dancing doc! I’m a 3rd-year Emergency Medicine Resident in NYC, balancing medicine, motherhood, and a bit of fun. Proudly from the Bronx, NY, with roots in Fletcher’s Land, Kingston, Jamaica, I love sharing my culture. I’m also a mom to a wonderful four-year-old girl, KK. My page is all about inspiration and good vibes. Despite the challenges of emergency medical training, I choose to spread peace and happiness.
