Hello everyone! In this first video, you'll walk through The Turia Gardens.
Located in the old riverbed Turia, this public park is the largest purely urban garden in Spain, with a length very close to 10 kilometers.
It was founded in 1986 several decades after the Great Flood of Valencia. After the flood, the city council and the Government of Spain planned in the 1960s the construction of a large communications axis (highways and other means of transport) that would connect the port with the airport and also cover internal traffic. After the citizen movement 'el riu ese nostre i el volem verd' (the river is ours and we want it green) there was a turn towards its conversion into a place of leisure and nature for citizens and visitors.
Enjoy the walk!
