in this video you can see a few minutes of our walk in the Hyrcanian forests of Gilan, which is located in the city of Talesh and the village of Kelasara.

This forest is 25 to 50 million years old (Paleogene period) is one of the most valuable forests in the world and is known as a natural museum.

At that time, most of the northern temperate regions of the world were covered by such forests. During the Ice Age, the Quaternary of these forests became smaller but expanded again with the end of the Ice Age.

More than 3200 plant species, 44% vascular, 58 bird species, 58 mammal species including Persian leopards live in these forests.
