CSX loaded grain train G111 enters New Castle Yard in New Castle, Pennsylvania with a BNSF Warbonnet (Fakebonnet) trailing, on its way to Brunswick, Maryland. Filmed on January 30, 2022 at 12:03 am.

BNSF 787 is officially classified as a Fakebonnet because it reads "BNSF" on the side. Technically, it is not a Warbonnet, but it is still uncommon to see in the coverage area. If the side of the locomotive said "ATSF", then it would be a real Warbonnet, which is exceptionally rare.

This loaded grain train had a recent ID change as well, as it used to be G124, and before that, G089. However, G111's counterpart is not V111, which is contrary to how this ID has operated in the past. The empty grain trains used to have symbols of V089 and V124, but now, the empty grain train's ID is G110.

This grain train was tying down in the yard and would end up sitting until it got a new crew. This happens to almost every train that passes New Castle.

Unfortunately for those who railfan in my primary coverage area, these BNSF locomotives were dropped from G111 in Cumberland and got sent back west on double stack intermodal train X135 (X for extra). G111/G110 was pulled by CSX power for the rest of its journey.

Finally, I filmed this on my birthday (January 30), so this definitely served as a nice birthday present.

Locomotives for G111: BNSF 7741, a GE ES44DC (3rd gen K5HL horn), and BNSF 787, a GE C44-9W (BNSF Warbonnet). BNSF 5076 was the rear DPU for this train, but I never ended up seeing it.
