I’m pregnant with mo-di twins. This is the first set of twins for our family and we couldn’t be more excited! They are identical and we recently found out that they are boys!!!! We currently have six girls and one boy, and both my son and husband are so excited to add two more boys to the family.
Mo-Di twins have their own amniotic sac, but share a placenta. In some cases they develop TTTS- twin to twin transfusion syndrome. That’s when one twin gets too much from the blood supply and the other twin gets too little. The only way to fix this is through a laparoscopic surgery.
We found out at my 17 week checkup that our twins have developed ttts and we needed to do emergency surgery.
In this video I share what I experienced going through the laser surgery and how I felt in the next couple of days post-op in the hospital. We will keep you all updated with our journey!
