Nested just North of Kuala Lumpur's famous Petronas Twin Towers is Titiwangsa Lake Park or Taman Tasik Titwangsa in the Malay language. This urban park is roughly 230 acres in size, features a 140 acre lake for water sports, a jogging track, cycling track and was built in 1980.
The large lake in the center was actually created as a byproduct of tin mining activities during the British Rule. Tin mining was and continues to be one of the main industries for Malaysia.
