After an unprecedented Iranian missile barrage against Israel yesterday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to respond, calling the decision a "big mistake" by Tehran. Nearly two hundred ballistic missiles were fired, sending millions of Israelis into shelters. One person was reportedly killed.
What was billed as an open mic brawl turned instead into a relatively respectful and thoughtful vice-presidential debate on Tuesday night. JD Vance and Tim Walz sparred over the middle east, immigration, the economy, health care, and abortion.
And rescue teams are still searching for hundreds missing people in parts of western North Carolina, as devastated areas of the Southeast deal with the scope of the damage from Hurricane Helene.
