We’re delighted to welcome Ishana Prabhu as our guest on this week’s podcast.
Originally from Brazil, he joined the Hare Krishna movement in 1981 after searching for ‘something deeper’ in life.
After receiving initiation from Hridayananda dasa Goswami in 1983 he went on to hold a number of leadership positions and roles in ISKCON spanning several decades.
Now, he is one of the senior leaders of Krishna West in North America and runs an active Krishna West group in Orlando, Florida.
“We need to make bhakti yoga and the Bhagavad Gita relevant to the western public,” said Ishana.
Krishna West was founded by Hridayananda Maharaj in 2013 in an effort to present the teachings of A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON) to western communities. The initiative now has supporters and followers all around the world.
