Going down a one way street the wrong way is an offence and will incur a fixed penalty fine and penalty points on your driving licence. I show you two examples of drivers going the wrong way on a one way street. This happened in the space of a few minutes of each other. The one way street was sign posted one way as you enter, also the road was painted with one way arrows on the ground. There was also signs posted no entry at the end of the one way street so not to enter.
So as a new driver or an experienced driver this should not be happening. But a couple of things could be happening here, firstly the drivers could be distracted by the volume of pedestrians in that area. Or they could be both not paying attention to the road signs in that area. Which ever way you look at this situation, both drivers are in the wrong and should not be driving down the wrong way of a one way street.
If you find yourself driving in an area that you are not familiar with, then you need to be watching ahead for any dangers that will cause an accident or that could cause you to break the rules of the highway code.
