I composed this piece during my few weeks in South Africa in August/Sept, 2007. This work was commissioned and composed for guitarist Grzegorz Joachimiak. My favourite period in music is the Baroque, especially Polish late Baroque. One of the greatest representative composers of that period is the lute virtuoso (born in Silesia -- now part of Poland), Sylvius Leopold Weiss. This is my tribute to his music from a XXI century viewpoint - especially in harmony.
