PFI Protests In Kerala Live : In a major crackdown on the Islamic outfit Popular Front of India (PFI), NIA conducted searches in 13 states on Sep 22. National Investigation Agency, the anti-terror agency, arrested over 100 PFI leaders in the raids. The raids, conducted in coordination with ED and state police, were part of the biggest crackdown on PFI so far. The hardline Islamic organization is accused of radicalizing youth and receiving terror funding. The raids were in respect to the five UAPA cases registered against the body, with a recent one filed in April this year.
