According to the astronomers, Pulsars could rotate as fast as 72,000 rpm before they break apart completely. On 10th November 2004, Jason W. T. Hessels discovered a pulsar located 18,000 light-years from Earth which is known as PSR J1748−2446ad.
It is the fastest-spinning pulsar known at equator, it's spinning at 24% of the speed of light. Which is roughly 70,000 kms per second spinning at the rate of 716 times per second. This pulsar is twice massive than the Sun within a radius of just 16 kilometers.
