Short field landings in the Piper Comanche are all about good speed control to minimize float. Book speed on final is 81mph with full flaps at gross weight which is what I held until across the fence. I was pretty light single pilot - ~2200lbs for an adjusted 1.3 Vso of 72mph.
As shown in the video, the airspeed easily bled off in the flair to right around 72mph with a smooth touch down shortly after. Since I was rolling towards the end for the fuel pumps, I didn't need to be aggressive on the brakes but could have stopped quite nicely if needed.
82J Roscoe field has a low pattern to stay within a 700' tall, pie-shaped surface cutout of Navy Sherman Field's surface Class C. If you look close on the downwind to base turn, multiple Navy planes are in the pattern close by at Sherman.
