t was a fiery scene during the ongoing budget session in Andhra Pradesh assembly Deputy Speaker Kona Raghupathi suspended three TDP MLAs.
Senior leaders of the opposition party Atchannaidu, Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary and Nimmala Rama Naidu were suspended for the rest of the assembly session on Tuesday.
Earlier, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy moved a motion against the TDP MLAs who obstructed the proceedings of the House.
The legislators created pandemonium after they were not allowed to speak by the chair. They rushed towards the podium raising slogans, which led to Assembly Affairs Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy proposing their suspension.
The ruling YSRCP alleged that TDP MLAs are purposefully disturbing the assembly despite giving ample time for discussion on many subjects.
The TDP MLAs protested after suspension and were marshalled out of the assembly.
Reacting on the suspension of TDP general secretary and son of party chief Chandrababau Naidu, Nara Lokesh lashed out at the ruling YSR Congress and tweeted, "When they stand for the people, "Rajanna Rajyam" is dealing with public representatives in such a way."
The issue came up during Question Hour when TDP members referred to the YSR Congress's promise of granting pension to women of these communities over the age of 45.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy clarified that though he initially promised to give pensions to women of 45 years of age, he subsequently modified it based on the suggestion of the TDP
