Jordan Peterson sat down for another conversation with Joe Rogan and at one point Peterson explains the cross and Christs crucifixion in a way that Joe Rogan admits he's never heard it taught like this before... and I agree with Joe.
I grew up being taught religion and I don't think I've ever missed a Sunday mass, but was never taught or thought about what it means at the level that Peterson offers here. Rogan says here that most Christians probably don't think about the cross this way, they only think that Jesus died for us and we're saved and that's it...
I'm not saying that isn't true, but it's a shallow perspective and it’s shallow language that right now falls on dead ears and isn't winning anyone over. Depth, mystery, and meaning wins over, it's what we're all desperate for in this day and age, and there is nothing deeper than what Peterson explains here
