In the early years of the NBA 3-Point Shootout, the first round featured two shooters competing at the same time on opposite ends of the floor. This was not a direct head-to-head matchup. One's cumulative score among the entire field of eight remained the sole means of advancement. In this matchup, Phoenix Suns guard Dan Majerle struggled in front of his home crowd, scoring just nine points and taking home a last place finish. He didn't fair much better in his only other shootout appearance, in 1993, when he again finished last with a first round tally of 10. Miller, meanwhile, advanced all the way to the finals in the 1995 shootout before falling to Miami's Glen Rice. Miller's full performance can be seen here: [ Ссылка ]
