Peace be to you all (Assalamualaikum)! Physician Assistants/Associates take the physician assistant national certification exam/PANCE upon graduation from PA school and the Re-Certification Exam/PANRE every 10 years. I give details of my experience without discussing ANY exam material/questions. Here are some tips:
1) Go to the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Associates/NCCPA website to download the PANCE blueprint. This gives the exam content; VERY helpful!
2) Take the practice exams provided on the NCCPA website
3) Arrange your schedule so you have adequate study time! You'll NEED IT!
4) TRY to schedule an exam time and location that is convenient for YOU!
5) Familiarize yourself with the logistics of the test site (e.g. parking, public transportation, etc.)
6) Bring TWO forms of official ID (e.g. license & passport)
7) Come 30 MINUTES EARLY, for your exam
8) Don't overeat or drink too much
9) Don't do anything that looks suspicious whilst taking the exam (👨🏽💻👀)
10) Dress in layers. The exam room MAY be cold to YOU! 🥶
