Discover the HIDDEN GEM of Italy Walking Tours on Isola Maggiore!

In this video a virtual walk through the sun-drenched stone streets on the island Maggiore on Trasimena Lake in Italy in August 2024.

Lake Trasimena is one of the largest lakes in Italy. It has an area of 128 km2 and is clearly visible from the shore.

The island is inhabited, it has houses and even streets, and several churches. There are ruins of an ancient Roman tower, a statue of San Francesco and a beach with a promenade. There are 3 islands on the lake: Isola Polvese, Isola Maggiore, Isola Minore.

Isola Maggiore is connected to the big land by ferries that go to the island from the marinas in the towns of Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Castiglione del Lago and Passignano sul Trasimeno.
