To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Deltic diesel locomotive the East Lancashire Railway held an event hosting 5 of the 6 preserved Deltics over the weekend of the 15-16th October 2011.

Filmed on Saturday 15th October we take a look at all of the action shot from various locations and angles along the East Lancashire Railways 18 miles of track. A new location was Summerseat, a nice station located on a section of single track in a rather picturesque spot. I have also included two long shots of trains passing along the bridge over the river in Summerseat Village.

As well as the Deltics, Class 40 D335 was in service all day and I have included footage of this loco alongside it's more powerful English Electric compatriots. Locos featured include,

55022 "Royal Scots Grey"
55002 "The Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry"
55015 "Royal Highland Fusilier"
D9009 "Alycidon"
D9016 "Gordon Highlander"

& D335.
