The hot new Tonale is the brand’s new entry level offering and it uses a FWD based architecture likely shared with the Compass. Though in the US, it ONLY will come in Q4 AWD versions with a pure gas and a PHEV offering. Inside is lots of new stuff for Alfa such as a standard, and fantastic to use finally, 12.3in fully digital gauge cluster and a 10.25in infotainment screen. 🏁 @Alllcarnews Spec Sheet: The global markets gets loads of powertrains but in the US we get 2. The first is a 2.0L Turbo 4 making 256Hp &
295 lb-ft of torque paired to a 9 speed gearbox and sending power to all four wheels. The top trim gets an all new PHEV Q4 (AWD) with a 1.3L Turbo 3 cylinder paired to an electric motor and making 275HP and sending power to all four wheels through a 6-Gear automatic. The PHEV has a 15.5kWh battery with over 30miles or EV range. 🏁

So how was it? Well this was not a production version even though it may appear so, but I feel not much will change for production. I found some door and plastic materials to feel lower quality and loosely put together unfortunately though the exterior design, interior tech, and overall package is promising. Let’s hope it will drive well. It should arrive in the US by Q1 2023 and will come in 3 trims: Sprint, Ti and Veloce.
