In this video we test run a Husqvarna 120i battery powered chainsaw. Battery powered equipment becomes more and more popular by the month and it of course raises mny questions from people who are interested in the products but do not know how well they will work or even if they will work. So if you've been wondering about the 120i from Husqvarna, here is your chance to see one in action. These saws can be purchased in a kit that comes with BLi20 battery and QC80 charger. The BLi 20 battery is a 4 amp/hr battery so it produces a decent run time. You also have the option to purchase a higher amp hour battery seperately if you are looking to get even more run time between charges.
As we point out in the video, the 120i is an easy to use chainsaw that does its job. Yes we know it is not a 562XP, or a CS-590, or a Stihl (Obviously because it starts right away HAHA!!), or a 395XP. This is a saw that is easy to use and easy to maintenance. The combination of low operating cost and low cost of ownership over the life of the saw make it a great investment. We know that there are still diehards out there that refuse to even try battery powered equipment but will tell you how bad it is. The battery powered equipment that is being manufactured these days in light years ahead of the battery powered equipment being produced 20, 10, and even 5 years ago. Technology keeps advancing and allowing these products to improve by leaps and bounds year after year. Remember years ago when a few companies made battery powered (cordless) drills? Many people complained that the batteries didn't last and that they didn't have the speed or torque of the corded electric versions. Then before we know it everyone in the tool game is making battery powered drills of all shapes and sizes and we are buying them and using without even thinking about how they compare to the old corded versions. If you haven't noticed, that is the point we are at today in regards to battery powered outdoor power equipment. Take a walk through a hardware store, home improvement store, your local mower dealer, or even just google chainsaw, or leaf blower, or trimmer and see how many brands of battery powered equipment you see. This is no different than what happened all those years ago with cordless drills. There is some really good quality battery powered equipment out there and until you try it for yourself you will not realize how well it actually works.
