Each Mastercard Player of the Match will receive our Soundtrack Trophy, encapsulating the story of the match through a musical performance woven together with broadcast highlights, fan cheers, and our unique Sonic sound.

Acclaimed French music producer, Surkin, composed our bespoke instrumental tracks, then mixed each with the lyrics and performances of French musical artists, Songø and Philippine to create the final soundtracks that can be heard through each Mastercard Player of the Match trophy.

French designers Natacha and Sacha designed and oversaw production of the trophy, highlighting local materials and traditional French craftsmanship with an innovative and contemporary approach.

For the semi-finals through to the Rugby World Cup 2023 Final, our musical artists will write and perform each soundtrack live during the 80-minute match. These tracks will be mixed with broadcast highlights, fan cheers and the unique Sonic sound. By the final whistle, each soundtrack will to be placed into the trophy and handed to the Mastercard Player of the Match.
