Diana Semaan is researcher on Syria with Amnesty.
Diana Semaan joined Amnesty International in November 2014. She is the Syria campaigner based in the London office(recently she is in Beirut). Prior to joining Amnesty, she worked as a research assistant covering Syria and Lebanon at Human Rights Watch, starting from 2011, based in the Beirut office. She assisted in research on Syria and Lebanon. Prior to working with HRW she interned at the Carnegie Middle East center focusing on the economy of the Levant region. She received her Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance from the Lebanese American University and after graduating worked for one year as a financial broker at Aksys capital.She received her Master’s degree in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick. She has conducted research work in Turkey, Iraq Kurdistan, Lebanon, and Syria.
